Pulau Dayang Bunting – famous for the lake of the pregnant maiden. Well, we still don’t know the story of the lake. You see, we finally sailed over to the island (see our previous blog, which we only uploaded after we got back from the island). We anchored in this narrow piece of water between Pulau Dayang Bunting and a smaller island. It was really tranquil. Sitting among sheer cliffs on all sides, with the eagles soaring and the birds and crickets singing. It would have been nice if we were the only ones there but a good thing cannot be kept a secret. There were 10 boats at anchor the two nights we were there. We were going to stay three nights but decided to get back to civilization.
About Me
- SY Sari Timur
- Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
- I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic. You can read more about me under "MORE ABOUT SARI TIMUR"
