About Me

My photo
Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic. Christmas Celebrations (posted Jan 1, 2010)

We are not updating our blog as frequently because of issues with Wi-Fi access, so please bear with us.
We had a lovely Christmas.  We met the President of Raffles Marina, Singapore in Ao Chalong and he invited us to be his guests on Christmas Eve at a really nice hotel on Patong.  We had good food, nice wine and great company.  Even though it rained during dinner and we had to move indoors, it was a really enjoyable evening.  Thank you Francis.
On Christmas Day, we had a potluck dinner with 4 other cruising couples.  Pauline made a Polish dish of stuffed cabbage and a no-bake cheesecake.  We had turkey, pumpkin pie, salad, veggies and lovely appetizers.  We even played Christmas games.  The party started at 3pm and went on till late.  It was another lovely way to spend Christmas.
Calls made to our parents made us homesick but we were pleased to be able to talk to them.
We want to wish our friends and family a very belated blessed Christmas and hope your Christmas celebrations were nice too.
