About Me

My photo
Alaska, United States
I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic. Yaku Shima

We made it in just under 33 hours.   We got a boost from the Kuroshio but not as long as we had hoped for, but with the help of the engine we made it before dark.  Supposedly this place has cedar trees dating back before Christ.  We need some firewood for our new stove!  Just kidding.  Anyway the berthing is limited so not sure how that is going to work but we are ok for tonight!

A space opened up this morning so we quickly moved the boat.  Now we can go exploring!

Whoops good thing we moved the owner of the space we stayed in last night came back.  Here he is! The crane bage not the Sailboat!
