Well we were getting rather frustrated yesterday with the cleaning and sorting. Mark had spent several hours cleaning the cooker which included some disassembly. Then he went to cook lunch and none of the knobs worked. And he was still knee deep in things from the cupboard near the stove that still needed cleaning. Luckily the knobs proved to just be stuck and some WD-40 and some pliers got them working. A few "I hate boat" words came out of his mouth at that time. Anyway we had been invited by the local priest (who is also a sailor) to his place for dinner and some discussions about Prince William sound. He had just come back from a two month land tour of New Zealand, so after dinner while having ice cream we watched his slide show. He traveled through all 14 National Parks. It was such a great evening, all the stress of cleaning and throwing away stuff seemed to disappear.
About Me
- SY Sari Timur
- Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
- I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic.
