About Me

My photo
Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic. Fukuoka

Position 33 d 35.54 m N 130 d 18.68 m E.  It took us exactly two months from the day we left Guam 8 April til we finally arrived in Fukuoka 7 June.  We are still finding unseasonal cold temps but everyone assures us that will stop soon enough, and we will be wishing for cool.  Sari Timur will stop here for just shy of 3 months, while we catch our breath for a while, put her through a dry dock and hopefully get the heater installed just before the hot spell.  We have entered the Setouchi Rally.  If people are interested you should send us a private message and we will let you know if there is space during that leg.  Should be lots of fun.

Right now it is late and we need some sleep.
