About Me

My photo
Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic. Almost on the plane

Well work is finally over for the day and most of the things are done.  The inside of the boat looks like a typhoon hit.  As I was tearing things out to get at all the extra lines and things to secure the boat in case a typhoon decides to hit the outside of the boat.  We have 12 lines down to 4 mooring blocks.  Which those blocks are tied to others.  I have put chaff guards on each line.  Moved most of the loose stuff below.  I left the sails on, except the big genoa, but I did lash them to their booms.  All in the weather looks good for the next 7 days but then this is Guam and 5h1t happens!  Will enjoy the break and it will be nice to see the flat now that it is finished off.
