Mark and the crew on the tug were supposed to go to Dillingham but the trip kept getting delayed. He was told he didn't have to go to work, so he stayed home and worked on projects. Finally after 2 weeks, they were given the go-ahead. They left on Saturday, September 16 and arrived in Dillingham by Bristol Bay 4 days later.
They are supposed to pick up a barge and tow it back to Homer. However the barge was not there and so they had to wait.
They finally left Dillingham Monday, September 25.
More updates later.
About Me
- SY Sari Timur
- Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
- I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic.
