Yap was always in our travel plans. But when we left Palau a little over two years ago we were dodging a constant string of storms, so we had to sail on past. We decided before leaving Guam we would fly back and see this gem of Micronesia. Famous for the fact that they are very traditional. The diving here is supposed to be just a little below the bar that Palau has set, but unfortunately Mark is on Sudafeds trying to knock out a head cold so not sure if we will get a chance or not. Our hotel is very neat. Pictures from our room are attached. The boat you see in the background is a restaurant where we had our anniversary dinner.
About Me
- SY Sari Timur
- Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
- I am owned by Pauline and Mark Blasky. My hull was built at the Duncan Marine Yard in Taiwan and launched in Dec of 1980. It is a William Garden design based on the Pixie Design and called by Duncan Marine a Freedom 45. They are the fourth owners and have owned me the longest. They have done extensive refitting to me including replacing my entire deck structure and rig. My masts are roughly 10% taller than original and now are made of aluminium as opposed to the original wood ones, which, though pretty, were always problematic.
